I’m just so tired….what can I do?

I’m just so tired…….

Ever been so tired that you just can’t move? So much so, that the act of breathing is almost more than you can bare? How do you go on? What do you do?

I talked about this problem with my friends and family and found that I am not alone. We  tire easily, and the reasons may be physical, mental and emotional. Researchers say that 10% of all visits to a doctor’s office are because of constant fatigue. My fatigue stems from my job responsibilities and workload; from disappointments so hurtful that you just want to bury yourself and hide from the world.

I decided to compile a list of ways I am trying to eliminate or at least dial down my stress and get off the emotional roller coaster.

Prayer

I am finding strength in my prayer life. A morning prayer is a wonderful way to focus your time and attention on seeking God’s plan for the day ahead. Whether you need encouragement, peace, strength, or rest, God can meet you in a very real and present way when you come before Him with a humble heart. Seek God’s presence each morning before your energy and attention is pulled by all the tasks you have ahead.

Devotionals

I cherish my morning devotional. I brew my coffee, sit in my favorite spot, thank God for so many blessings and let Him know what my friends and I need. I pray. I listen. I read the Bible and I take in my devotion for the day. Knowing that no matter what happens during the rest of the day, God and I are together. I have used youversionapp and found solace in the devotional plans that are free for the choosing. You can even share a plan with friends and start a prayer circle and discussion. Very uplifting and supportive.

Food Choices

I’m trying to get 64 or more ounces of water a day and keep track of what I am eating using Myfitnesspal app  I probably have 5,000 lists all over my house of Pinterest recipes – low carbs? or maybe high protein? I get so confused. But I do know that I have to eliminated sugar, bread and potatoes. Ugh! I love those foods.

Blogging

I’m blogging! Blogging not only changes your life, it also changes the life of the followers you gather. And because blogs are free for the audience and open to the public, on many levels, it is an act of giving. It is a selfless act of service to invest your time, energy, and worldview into a piece of writing and then offer it free to anybody who wants to read it. It is a great stress reducer when I share stories and thoughts and many find inspiration in my writing… and that’s a wonderful feeling.
